![]() | Brian Martin, CSCS (Founder & CEO)Brian is a graduate of Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania with a degree in Exercise Physiology. He has been in the fitness and sports performance industry for over nineteen years. He is the former National Personal Training Director for over 75 Health Clubs along the East Coast. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (C.S.C.S.) with the NSCA, certified by the Arthritis Foundation as well as many other national organizations. He is a national speaker in the area of sport specific training and health and wellness business development.Brian has worked with many professional athletes from the NFL as well as various professional and international sports. As the founder of TEST Sports (Founded in 1992), he personally ensures that all TEAM members are well educated and educated in all facets of training methods to remain on the cutting edge of the industry. Brian & the TEST Football Academy have been featured on ESPN, the NFL Network, Sports Illustrated, as well as many other national media sources. | |
![]() | Kevin Dunn, CSCS (Owner)Kevin Dunn is a Rutgers University alumnus and holds a BS in Exercise Science & Psychology. As captain and MVP of RU's Swimming & Diving Team, he was formerly awarded Atlantic 10 and ECAC Diver of the Year. He is a current high diver reaching heights as high as 95 feet in his career and uses that experience to perfect human movement in athletes in the NFL, NBA and MLB. He holds certifications from every highly respected nationally recognized organization and has developed and implemented TEST’s internal Mentorship Curriculum. His experience in hospital based Physical Therapy settings and Athletic Training for intercollegiate athletics has given him the prospective from all sides of the rehab process. Kevin currently leads the research and development team and is on the cutting edge with human performance and biomechanical analysis. With his combination of knowledge and experience, he coaches flawless movement patterns in every sport and in the game of life to avoid injury and maximize genetic potential. | |
![]() | Ilze Kanepsllze has been avidly exercising for the last 25+ years and has specialized in body fat reduction and nutrition. In 1999, she completed in the EAS Body for Life Challenge and finished in the top 4% in the country. Ilze is certified by the World Instructor Training School and has been involved in business management for 20 years. Ilze holds certifications as a metabolic specialist and specializes in cardiovascular programs utilizing a portable metabolic analyzer, program design prescriptions, utilizes for TEST Sports Club members, college and pro Athletes. Ilze began at TEST in 2000 as a full time trainer, but due to her passion of fitness and helping others achieved their goals, she has combined her goals at TEST Sports Clubs as a full time trainers and membership director. Ilze is loyal to running, golf and cycling. She also enjoys taking clients on hikes and adventures into the mountains of Chimney Rock. You can always find her training for some competitive running event or just maintaining her motivated athleticism. Her most recent accomplishments include running the NYC Marathon for the past few years. Her high level of energy and contributions to the TEST experience are unlimited. | |
![]() | Iwona GrabowskiIwona is a great addition to the TEST Team with her strong and extensive background in Aerobics and Dance. Iwona graduated from the University of Poland with a degree in Exercise Science. She is an advanced AAAI Certified Aerobic Specialist and a certified choreographer. In addition to one-on-one training, Iwona leads several group-training programs here at TEST. Iwona also has experience in various health fields including physical therapy. In 1999 she sustained an injury to her ACL and learned what it takes to come back stronger than ever. She is passionate about health and fitness and enjoys teaching her clients proper exercise techniques in a fun environment. According to her loving clients, she is a tough taskmaster. Iwona enjoys keeping her classes fresh and interesting and is always working on new aerobic routines! | |
![]() | Skip FullerSkip, a former strength & conditioning coach for football at Rutgers University was an all-around athlete highly recruited out of high school. Skip received a full academic/athletic scholarship to West Virginia University to play football. At WVU, Skip played in 3 bowl championships including the National Championship in 1988 against Notre Dame. Additionally, he earned three letters as a defensive lineman and the highest Mountaineer award in 1989. Skip majored in physical education and sports management at WVU, and in 1990 graduated with a B.S. degree in physical education, as well as various coaching/sports management certifications. Skip brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our club. If you have endurance, a strong commitment, are sports oriented and have the desire to train hard, Skip will make sure you achieve your goals. | |
![]() | Eddie Frayne, CSCSEddie Frayne graduated from Bloomsburg University in 1988 with a bachelor science in adult health degree. Before attending Bloomsburg, he played football at Wagner College. His career was cut short from an injury. Eddie completed an internship at Safety Harbor SPA and Fitness Center in Tampa, Florida. He worked for 18 years at The SPA at Short Hills and was the Fitness Director there for the last 16 years. Eddie currently is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the NSCA and is certified through the AFAA. He has enjoyed his additional role of starting our Group Personal Training program and looks forward to help grow the program and take it to the next level. | |
Ed YapczenskiEd is a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. He is a teacher at Plainfield High School and deals with many types of children and young adults. Ed has also been a personal trainer at a health club for several years with a very diverse group of individuals. He helped train people with a broad range of goals ranging from competing in marathons, participating in ultimate fighting competitions or just people who want to get a better physique or improve cardiac capabilities. | ||
![]() | Eric DorseyEric graduated the University of Notre Dame in 1986 with a major in marketing. He was a four year starter in football at defensive end and earned most improved and defensive player of the year as a senior. Eric was all-American and a number one draft pick (19th overall) for the New York Giants. He played on two Super Bowl teams and was defensive player of the year in 1988. In high school he was a four year letterman in football, wrestling, and track, and earned the honor of being the 29th greatest athlete in history (V.A.), set school records in shot-put and discus, third in state in wrestling, and two time All-American in football. | |
![]() | Geir GudmundsenGeir graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a Bachelors of Fine Arts. As a captain for the football team Geir was voted 1-AA Mid-Major Performer of the Year…Named to 1-AA All American squads all four years… Played a vital roll in leading a unit that won back to back NEC Conference Championships… Finished his College career a four year letterman at which he made 44 consecutive starts. After an impressive college campaign Geir began his professional football career in 2005 with the Buffalo Bills. He also played in the Arena Football League. You may have seen Geir on the silver screen. He was cast with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the Disney movie “The Game Plan”. Geir is an accomplished artist. ![]() | Karen LangnerKaren is a graduate of Rutgers University with a double major in Exercise Science & Sports Studies and Psychology. She was a four year member of the Rutgers Track & FIELD team, 07’/08’ Captain, two year Metropolitan champ in the pole vault, and also received Big East Academic Honors while in college. In the past she has served as a Track & Field and Pole Vault coach at a local track camp and Head Lifeguard at Rutgers. Karen’s interests include rock climbing, lifting, running, skiing, SUPing, and competing in triathlons. Her goal is for everyone to find enjoyment in exercise, whether it stems from trying something new and physically challenging, the ability to enjoy everyday activities pain-free, or the satisfaction of finishing a race. She has certifications in Lifeguard Instruction, First Aid, CPR/AED, Oxygen Administration, SCUBA and Belaying. | |
![]() | Lauren ThatcherLauren is a graduate from The College of New Jersey with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science. She acquired her CSCS in May 2008 from the NSCA, one of the most well respected organizations in the industry. Her high school athletic career includes all-county and all-area honors as the varsity soccer goalkeeper where she was team captain, MVP, and broke her school’s shut-put record. She also earned all-county and all-area honors in winter/spring track for high jump and hurdles, was MVP and team captain. She was also the MVC and NJSIAA scholar athlete. She is CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and running marathons. Her life-long goal is to run a marathon (26.2 miles) in each state and one on every continent. Lauren loves to challenge her clients with fun, functional, and creative exercises that help them reach their own fitness goals. | |

Steve BarrassoSteve is a graduate of Montclair State University. While at Montclair State, Steve was a varsity running back on the football team before incurring a career ending knee injury. During this period in time Steve learned a tremendous amount about rehabilitation and how physical training can enhance the body. Upon graduation, Steve taught Physical Education in the Newark school system before discovering his true passion, personal training. His hobbies include playing basketball, watching sports, and exercising. He is certified as a personal trainer by the World Instructor Training School. His goal at the club is to better serve you and your fitness needs through proven rehabilitation and sports training techniques. | ||
Mark LaRueMark comes to TEST Sports Club as a personal trainer from New York Sports Club, certified through Towns Sports International. Mark has over twenty years experience in weight resistance and cardio training, and has a great passion along with a tremendous enthusiasm for health and fitness. He has knowledge and applicable experience in training athletes as well as general fitness enthusiasts. Mark desires to pass on his information and understanding of the sport to others. | ||
![]() | Jared MazzettaJared Mazzetta, a graduate of Virginia Tech, has an undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education and a Graduate degree in Health Promotions and was a member of the Virginia Tech Football team where he played Tight End from 2000-2004 and was captain of the 2004 ACC Championship team. At present, Jared is a Health and Physical Education teacher at North Hunterdon Regional HS where he is also the Head Strength and Conditioning coach and assistant football coach. He is a certified personal trainer, National Academy Sports Medicine (NASM) and is also a certified CPR/First Aid instructor through the American Heart Association (AHA) as well as a member of the New Jersey Strength and Conditioning Association (NJSCA). | |
Jim Brown, ACSMJim is a certified Personal Trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine and has a B.S. in Health Education from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Previously, he worked as a corporate PT with Merck Inc. and Sanofi Aventis in NJ and as a Director of Education and Development at the College Board’s corporate office in Manhattan, where he taught classes in communication and management development. | ||
![]() | Lenny CaridaLenny holds a degree in Exercise Science from Lander University and has been a strength and conditioning coach for over 30 years. Coach Carida is sole owner of Scientific Strength Coaches LLC and has a partnership with TEST Sports Clubs. As part of his partnership with TEST Sports Research and Development team he had the opportunity to be part of their 3 year mentorship program with Athletes’ Performance in Tempe, Arizona. He is the Head Strength Coach for the Centenary College Wrestling Team and organizes and runs his own Youth Summer Training Camps out of Hackettstown, NJ. His resume also includes a stint as an Adjunct Professor of Exercise Studies at Union County College in New Jersey. | |

During that time, she worked for a large corporation as the Director of Training and following that, owned a franchise business where she taught children.After selling her business and realizing that her specialty was coaching, motivating and training, she began R.I.S.e FITNESS to dedicate 100% of her time to the fitness industry. In addition to R.I.S.e FITNESS programs, she continues to teach at local health clubs and is experienced in various teaching styles and techniques: strength, cardio, core, kickboxing, conditioning, and indoor cycling. She has been coaching and training for the last 10 years at both the high school and collegiate level. After becoming a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, she co-founded HerEdge- a program dedicated to the advancement and betterment of female athletes. HerEdge has partnered with TEST to create a female specific training system which addresses performance enhancement and injury risk & prevention. In addition to her passion for female specific training, Ambyr is a certified Parisi Speed School Trainer. | |
Scott RankinScott Rankin is a graduate of William Paterson University where he obtained his degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. Scott brings with him over 10 years experience in the fitness industry.Scott rejoins the TEST team with over 6 years experience as a strength and conditioning specialist at TEST Sports Clubs in Bedminster NJ. While working at TEST Scott was part of their elite 3 year mentorship program with the “world class” Athletes’ Performance in Tempe, Arizona. Prior to training in athlete based setting coach Rankin also obtained experience as an exercise specialist with Saint Joseph’s hospital where he specialized in exercise programming for a clientele with high incidence of exercise limitations. Scott also brings with him 3 years of experience as a middle school Health and Physical Education instructor and over 7 years of experience as a football and track coach. His coaching background includes head freshman coach and assistant varsity coach at Wayne Valley High School in Wayne NJ. | ||
