“Four years ago, I had double knee replacement surgery. This provided me with the perfect excuse to become a couch potato. Although I worked hard to rehabilitate my knees, when that process was complete, I totally stopped exercising. My weight became a real issue for me. I have battled my weight my whole life but this was the heaviest I had ever been. Then earlier this year, flyers for TEST’s FLIP (Fat Loss Incentive Program) began appearing on my kitchen table as a not too subtle hint that my family wanted me to do something about my weight. I gave in and signed up with Eddie Frayne as my coach.

Throughout the years, I have successfully lost weight by following a variety of different diets. Stillman, Adkins, Nutrisystem, Cabbage soup, Weight Watchers all provided quick weight loss but within months after completing these diets, I have always gained the weight back. The FLIP approach has focused on exercise and developing better eating habits. I have lost 35 pounds to date which is about 40% of my goal. It has taken six months but I believe I am doing it the proper way this time. With the support of my family and the staff here at TEST, I hope to continue the process to attain my goal. I have a long way to go but exercising is fun again.”

“I consider myself a “Jack of all trades, master of none”. This does not hinder my quest to be the best I can be at all I try! I have a competitive background in Figure Skating, 13 years of Track and Field, Tennis, Equestrian/Equitation, Rugby, and Golf. As a 40 year old mother of three I spend much of my free time playing golf and running. I truly believe that athletics has given me the ability to have a “never give up” attitude. As a result, I try and set an example for my children so that they too will never give up or give in when things get tough.

I thoroughly enjoy coming to work out at TEST Sports Club. It is completely different from any other gym that I have belonged to in the past. The large field house gives you and the trainers the ability to work through many unique and fun exercises. My experiences with the trainers have been awesome. They are so good at creating workouts that are specific to just you and your goals. They also keep it interesting; in the two years I have been going to TEST I have never had the same workout twice. It amazes me that at this point in my life I can say I feel as strong as I ever was… maybe stronger. THANKS TEST!”
